About this event

Join us in person for an exciting day celebrating Black excellence in STEM! Dive into inspiring stories from the past, discover cutting-edge innovations of the present, and get a glimpse of the bright future shaped by Black scientists, engineers, and tech pioneers. Come connect, learn, and be inspired

The Black History STEM Celebration 2026 is a flagship cultural and educational event that brings together students, families, and Black professionals to celebrate Black excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

This special February edition complements our monthly Technology Workshop with a large-scale Black History Month celebration, designed to inspire confidence, cultural pride, and leadership in young innovators.

Students will explore coding, AI, robotics, and data concepts, engage directly with Black professionals across STEM industries, and showcase their own ideas and projects in a supportive, high-energy environment.

What Makes This Event Unique

  • Reverse Mentoring Experience
In a powerful twist, students will teach professionals what they are currently learning in STEM, through coding demos, AI logic flows, or robotics challenges, while professionals share career journeys, encouragement, and real-world insights. This two-way learning model builds confidence, ownership, and leadership.
  • Representation in Action
Students see and interact with Black role models in engineering, healthcare, AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and more reinforcing that they belong in these spaces.
  • Hands-On Learning + Celebration
The day blends learning, storytelling, cultural reflection, and community celebration in a way that is both educational and inspiring.

Why This Matters

This event is more than learning code; it’s about identity, confidence, and belonging. Students leave not only with new skills, but with the belief that their voices, ideas, and futures matter in STEM.
